This lakeside home on Big Cedar Lake in Washington County, Wisconsin features a historical clapboard exterior with wood trim and cedar shingle accents.
Wade Weissmann Architecture crafted a bold aesthetic reminiscent of iconic East Coast boathouses. The four-bedroom, six-bath residence blends the look of a traditional rowing house with modern amenities. Barenz Builders and i4design also collaborated on the project.
The interior design reflects a farmhouse industrial aesthetic, with a mix of wood and metals. Barn wood, sourced from a century-old fallen barn, adds character to the rooms.
Architectural elements, like the double-height kitchen ceiling with heavy timber beams, create a wow-factor while allowing ample sunlight. This timeless lake house combines classic and contemporary elements in a unique and enduring way.
The home design prioritizes natural light for year-round enjoyment, and the covered porch allows for various activities in any weather.
