The Russell Hotel is a 115-year-old historic church with Romanesque Architecture in Nashville, Tennessee converted into a chic boutique hotel. The unique property in Nashville’s coolest neighborhood was a project by Design company Powell.
It once housed the Edgefield Cumberland Presbyterian Church in East Nashville and was transformed into a 23-room modern hotel that retains some of its original design elements. The stained-glass rose windows in the lobby is the focal point of the church conversion. Wooden pews were refreshed, repainted and reused as fashionable headboards.
