Restaurant De Vries in Amsterdam, the Netherlands has an intimate design that makes good use of its small space. The interior design by Hofman Dujardin Architects is casual contemporary. The narrow and deep floor space is divided into three zones. The front part close to the street has higher ceiling. The middle area has a lower ceiling and is more intimate. The back area next to the open kitchen has a long table with a cozy atmosphere.
Dutch architect Arjen Reas was given the challenge to design a family home in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, on the edge of the city where urban life and rural open land meet. The result is a contemporary family home that blends traditional ideas with contemporary design. The interior of the house is modern and natural providing a peaceful and open atmosphere for the family who can also fully enjoy the rural landscape in the comfortable open backyard.
