As you step through the grand carved-wood doors of this Spanish Colonial style home in Paradise Valley, Arizona, you are greeted by a pair of century-old olive trees and a courtyard that is centered around a bubbling stone fountain. The view extends through the house to a private botanical garden against the backdrop of the Camelback Mountain.
Designed by Don Nulty AIA in collaboration with The Refined Group, Casa Blanca Builders and landscaping firm Berghoff Design Group, the project aimed to blend tradition with modernity.
The architectural inspiration behind the house is rooted in the Spanish Colonial Revival style that flourished in 1920s Santa Barbara, with origins tracing back to Andalusia in southern Spain.
Inside, the design strikes a delicate balance between Old World charm and contemporary comfort. Modern and Moroccan accents are combined gracefully in each guest suite.
The outdoor areas feature broad pathways, Mediterranean style Sonoran Desert gardens, and a rooftop terrace offering panoramic mountain views.
From its Andalusian influences to its resort-like ambiance, the residence epitomizes a vacation spirit.
