Palacio Las Majadas in the commune of Pirque, Chile is a magnificent castle originally built in 1905 as a home for the Subercaseaux family. Designed by architect Alberto Cruz Montt, this French Renaissance style building is surround by 7.5 hectares of park area.
The property suffered damages due to earthquakes over the years. The current owner decided to restore the structure and transform the castle into an educational centre for public use.
Teodoro Fernández Arquitectos was in charge of the restoration project which included demolition of damaged walls, strengthening of the structure and modernizing the interior.
