Converting old churches into modern homes in the Netherlands has become quite a trend. This beautiful minimalist home in Utrecht designed by Zecc Architecten creates a contrast with the original shapes of the chapel.
The original leaded glass of the church is maintained. Skylights bring daylight into the home, and a new abstract version of a leaded glass — almost Mondriaan-like — is introduced to allow even more light to come through.
Other elements such as the balcony and the organ are also maintained.
