The remodeling of this mountain retreat in Paradise Valley, Arizona is a sophisticated blend of modern and Spanish Colonial architecture.
Architectural changes by Matthew Thomas Architecture created a fresh modern look with a new curved arch that frames the front door.
Interior designer Laurel Pfannenstiel, builder Nance Construction and landscape architect Berghoff Design Group also collaborated on the project.
Existing reclaimed wood ceiling beams were preserved to bring warmth and character to the interiors. Steel doors open to the patio which feels like an extension of the home.
The dreamy backyard with views of Camelback Mountain provides a perfect desert setting.
