This award winning estate in Rancho Mirage, California is elevated above the desert floor to capture the breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains. AndersLasterArchitects were responsible for the extensive remodelling of the home which transformed it into a sustainable, modern desert oasis. Interior designer Christopher Kennedy created a modern and crisp environment using simple yet colourful interior decor.
Teetering over the majestic Vikos Gorges and Voidomatis River in Epirus Province in Greece, the Aristi Mountain Resort is an 18-room hotel on the highest point in town. Original architecture of the stone building is preserved according to local laws. The cozy rooms with hardwood floors and stone walls echo the reflect simplicity of the region.
Situated on a slope on Cetatuia Street in Brasov, Romania, this spacious loft has an amazing panoramic view over the mountains and historical centre of the city. The transparent glass of the stair railings and glass floor maximize the views and allow plenty of natural light to filter through the entire loft.

Architect Lázaro Rosa Viola of Contemporain Studio successfully respected the basic structure of the house while creating a rustic and refreshing environment that connects with its surroundings. Blue and white interior decoration throughout the house celebrates the blue Mediterranean Sea.
The Skype office in Stockholm, Sweden is simple yet very 21st century. Based on the spirit of Skype, the design team at PS Arkitektur created a playful environment using colours and soft furniture. The Skype cloud logo is reinterpreted thoughout the office space. Special wallpapers with cables, earphones and other audio-video devices are also part of the interior decor.
Located in the 6th arrondissement in Paris, France, this renovated one bedroom apartment in a 17th century building has all the modern conveniences with authentic charm. Exposed beams and stone walls form the central theme of the apartment. The L-shaped open kitchen provides an open and modern feel.
This 1920s duplex in Toronto, Canada was converted from a group of small, dark rooms into a graphic designer’s residential loft. The renovation retained the charm of the building’s historic exterior, while transforming its interior for contemporary living. The owner’s Asian heritage is reflected in the interior’s warm red woods, white walls and crisp geometric lines, providing a clear backdrop for the owner to showcase his collection of Asian art and artefacts and classic modern furniture.
