Cavo Tagoo Hotel in Mykonos, Greece is a cliffside paradise with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. This luxury boutique hotel with Mykonos architecture has an island aesthetic that is a natural extension of its surroundings. The contemporary minimalist interior design blends modern chic with Greek-Mediterranean traditional elements. Whitewashed walls with splashes of colour provide a cool, calming effect that makes it a perfect escape.
At 12,000 feet above sea level, the St. Regis Lhasa Resort in Lhasa, Tibet is one of the highest luxury hotels in the world. Inspired by the nearby Sera Monastery, the eight-acre resort hotel designed by Denniston International Architects combines the traditional Tibetan architectural elements with modern luxury. The hotel faces the stunning Potala Palace with views of the Himalayas and Lhasa Valley. The exterior of the buildings with stone walls and dark shale pagoda-style roofs pay homage to the ancient Buddhist culture. The interiors showcase works of art from local and international artists such as the six-panel painting in the lobby by Christian de Laubadère. The Iridium Spa has an ornate gold-tiled pool with artwork of a black and white Sea Serpent. Sustainable features such as solar panels and an underground water recycling system were also incorporated into the hotel design.
The Scots Hotel Tiberias is a boutique hotel situated in an 120-year-old historical compound on the shore of the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias, Israel. This former hospital was later transformed into a luxury boutique hotel by the Church of Scotland. 19th century basalt stone buildings and a newer building form the hotel which produces a synergy between old and new. The interior decoration combines the historical character of the buildings with modern comfort. Rooms in the old buildings are constructed from basalt rock. The original architectural style is carefully preserved which provides an atmosphere of serenity and mystery.
Experience ornate grandeur at The Villa By Barton G., which has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel by restaurateur and events impresario Barton G. Weiss. Located in Miami Beach, Florida, this former mansion of fashion designer Gianni Versace is an Italian-style palace with a mix of Persian, Egyptian and Baroque interior decor thrown in. The villa was originally built in 1930 and was subsequently purchased by Versace in 1992 who expanded and decorated the property with his signature design style, including the stunning Thousand Mosaic Pool. Minimalists be warned, the villa is a monument to excess and makes no apology for its opulent.

Wood floors, heavy linen and locally made furniture are some of the features inspired by its environment. Ecclesiastical colours such as orange, red and green are used, in keeping with the theme.

Located near the Louvre, the Opera Garnier and the Place Vendôme, the Castille Paris offers beautifully decorated rooms of traditional Venetian inspired decor or elegant contemporary atmosphere. The interior design has a simple elegant style with soft relaxing colours that ensures peace and tranquility.
Saffire Freycinet is a stunning new resort located on the Freycinet Peninsula in Tasmania, Australia. This boutique hotel overlooks Great Oyster Bay, and close-by is the internationally acclaimed Wineglass Bay. The resort’s interesting architecture was designed by Morris Nunn and Associates. The building’s roof line resembles the Hazards Mountains in the background and the suites below are like waves peeling on the shores. The simple contemporary interior design by Chhada Siembieda (CHADA) harmonizes with the pristine environment. The use of timber and stone creates a seamless feel between the inside and outside.
