Ludwig penthouse apartment in San Francisco, California is located in a concrete high-rise on Aquatic Park. The design by Craig Steely takes advantage of the views. Materials used are clear and etched 1/2″ glass, slabs of Black walnut, hand made mosaic tile walls, and gun blued steel.
Alchemy Architects took on the project of renovating the home and office of their clients Will Hopkins and Mary K. Baumann. Located in the Whitney Lofts Building (formerly known as Standard Mill) in Minneapolis, Minnesota on the Mississippi Riverfront, the loft was previously a hotel kitchen as well as the turbine room within the renovated Standard Mill. The goal was to combine the designers’ white-page palette for the space with a sense of light by creating visual pathways between grand columns.

The 66 square meter (710 sq. ft.) apartment is housed in an 18th century building on a quiet cobble stone street. The living area has an original stone fireplace and oak hardwood floors and a modern open kitchen. The bamboo-and-plant terrace features a seating area for meals and relaxation.
Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the old port city of Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Israel, this contemporary apartment was completely redesigned by Pitsou Kedem Architects. The structure of the original building — which is hundreds of years old — features stone arches which were preserved to merge with the contemporary minimalist interiors.
