Shenandoah Farm is a 250-acre escape tucked into the bend of the Buffalo River in Summertown, Tennessee.
The property is composed of two connected 1860s structures (a lake house and a cabin) made of American chestnut. There is also a lake pavilion which is wrapped in screened windows that stretch from floor to ceiling.
An old log cabin originally served as a residence in the late 19th century has been restored and renovated by Pfeffer Torode Architecture.
The cabin is now a cozy 1,650 square feet getaway with a modern kitchen, a fireplace in the centre of the living area, a screened porch overlooking the river, two bedrooms, and a bunk room.
Further down the property is a bright and airy lakeside house perched on the shore of a seven-acre man-made lake. The lake house features a unique central staircase and fireplace made from local Tennessee fieldstone, echoing the landscape’s natural beauty.
