This modern boat house perched on a bluff overlooking the Niantic River in Waterford, Connecticut looks like a vintage steamboat.
Laschever Building Co. teamed up with cable railing brand Feeney to construct this unique home inspired by steamships, luxury yachts and cruise ships of the early 20th-century.
For the exterior deck, the team utilized Feeney’s DesignRail® aluminum railing with stainless steel CableRail infill and LED lighting.
The exterior nautical theme continues inside. Oak floors, arched fir beams and a “bridge” complete with a console that features a ship’s wheel, throttle, horns and compass, provide the look and feel of a private yacht of the 1920s.
