The iconic Casa Batlló in Barcelona, Spain was commissioned by the industrialist Josep Batlló, and was built by Antoni Gaudí between 1904 and 1906.
Much of the façade of his UNESCO World Heritage Site is decorated with a colorful mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles. Irregular oval windows and flowing sculpted stone work are some of the distinct features of this masterpiece.
